The most popular award show which is known as Grammy awards today, was initially known as Gramophone awards. It is a tribute to the stupendous achievers in the industry of music. It was first awarded in 1959. This year also Grammy’s award function was celebrated and many legends of music were awarded. It was 57th Grammy award. The biggest night of the music was celebrated with great enthusiasm. The night was overwhelmed by the stunning performances of the artists like Rihanna, Katy Perry and many more.

Best Score Soundtrack Album for Visual Media was for ‘The Grand Budapest Hotel’ as already known. Best Song Written for Visual Media was of Robert Lopez’s and Kris Anderson’s-Lopez – ‘Let It Go’. Best Music Video was begged by Pharrell for ‘Happy’. ‘20 Feet from Stardom’ was declared as the Best Music Film. Carrie Underwood won the award of Best Country Solo Performance for ‘Something in the Water’. The Band Perry won Best Country Duo/Group Performance for ‘Gentle on My Mind ‘. Best Country Song was Glen Campbell’s ‘I’m Not Gonna Miss You’. The Earls of Leicester became the Best Bluegrass Album. According to the jury the Best Pop Duo/Group Performance was given by A Great Big World & Christina Aguilera in ‘Say Something’. Grammy’s Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album was awarded to Lady Gaga & Tony Bennett for ‘Cheek to Cheek’. Chris Thile’s & Edgar Meyer Jr’s ‘Bass & Mandolin’ was awarded as the Best Contemporary Instrumental Album. Best Rock Performance award went in the laps of Jack White’s ‘Lazaretto’. Tenacious D’s ‘The Last in Line’ was declared as the Best Metal Performance of the year. Best Rock Song award fell in the pockets of Paramore for ‘Ain’t It Fun’. Best Alternative Music Album according to the jury and audience was St. Vincent’s “St. Vincent”. Best Spoken Word Album went to Joan Rivers for ‘Diary of a Mad Diva’. Weird Al Yankovic’s ‘Mandatory Fun’ became the Best Comedy Album. Kendrick Lamar won the award of Best Rap Performance for ‘i’. Best Rap/Sung Collaboration went to Eminem featuring Rihanna – ‘Monster’. Best Rap Song was sung by Kendrick Lamar. The song was ‘i’. Best Rap Album was made by Eminem. It was The Marshall Mathers LP 2. Best Traditional R&B Vocal Performance was given by Robert Glasper Experiment in ‘Jesus Children’. Best R&B Song was Beyonce’s & Jay Z’s ‘Drunk In Love’. Best R&B Album was Toni Braxton’s & Kenny’s ‘Babyface’ and Edmonds’s ‘Love, Marriage & Divorce’. Pharrell’s ‘Girl’ became the Best Urban Contemporary Album. Best American Roots Performance award was begged by Roseanne Cash for ‘A Feather’s Not a Bird’. Best American Roots Song was Roseanne Cash’s ‘A Feather’s Not a Bird’. became the Best New Artist and Parrell Williams became the Best Pop Solo Performer for ‘Happy (Live)’.
